Introduced on C-Span as "the world's leading energy efficiency expert", Donald Wulfinghoff has been a researcher, consultant, and teacher in
energy conservation and energy technology since 1973. He authored the Energy Efficiency Manual, the world's primary book on energy efficient design and operation of buildings and industrial facilities. He established
the first professional courses in energy efficiency and cogeneration at George Washington University. His courses, seminars, and lectures have been attended by thousands.
 
Wulfinghoff authored Managing Your Energy, which introduced the profit center concept of energy management. Wulfinghoff was an organizer of the leading efficient design competition in the United States. He contributed the Energy Management chapter of the ASHRAE Handbook. He is active in developing the national energy conservation standard for the United States.
 
Wulfinghoff is a Professional Engineer in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, a First Grade Stationary Engineer, a Certified General Automobile Mechanic, and holds an FCC First Class Radiotelephone Certificate. He holds an M.S. in Physics and completed the core program
for the doctorate in Physics and Electrical Engineering, University of Florida. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Engineer Officer School, over 200 technical courses and seminars, and AAA arbitration training.
 
His firm, Wulfinghoff Energy Services, Inc., has served organizations
ranging from the White House to heavy industrial plants, from individual homes to the most complex research institutions.
