Dr. Kliman spends more than half of his time in treatment and research and less than half in litigation. International literary prize winner and author of over 50 articles and books on child and family stressors and traumas, recipient of over 50 child and family service and research grants on psychological trauma and childhood psychiatry, he has founded three major nonprofit public health organizations to help children. Medical Directorships have included: The Center for Preventive Psychiatry, The Foster Care Study Unit of Columbia University Department of Child Psychiatry. He has founded and is currently full time Medical Director of The Children's Psychological Health Center, including The Children's Psychological Trauma Center and Cornerstone Therapeutic School Services.
