million awarded in attorney fees to be “unreasonable” and recommended
$455,000.00 paid. Over billing occurs more often than clients or law firms
realize and it is the client's right to question their firm's bill(s) for reasonable
& necessary charges. Our pricing is designed to control costs, not add to
them. TECUM bills by the hour, however, our price will not exceed 2% of
the total legal bill(s) reviewed. The client knows up front the maximum cost
of our service(s). If we find a firm is billing reasonably we advise the client
immediately to save cost. Our legal audits (file reviews) are billed at our
hourly rates and we provide a minimum and maximum cost before the review.
