Bonnie Landry graduated from LSU School of Nursing Baccalaureate
Program. She has been working as an RN in the hospital environment for
over 18 years, caring for women and infants at every stage in the childbirth
process. She has experience as a nurse educator and direct patient care
provider in labor and delivery, nursery, postpartum, and NICU. She has
worked in urban, busy settings, as well as more rural settings, making her
familiar with the acceptable standards of care within those arenas. She is a
member of AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and
Neonatal Nurses). AWHONN provides access to an endless library
referencing multiple publications regarding past and present acceptable
standards of care for this specific patient population (mother, baby, fetus,
high-risk birth setting). She also possesses certifications from AWHONN as
an instructor for fetal heart tone monitoring, the American Academy of
Pediatrics to instruct caregivers on neonatal resuscitation, NCC (National
Certification Center) for Inpatient Obstetrics, and the Vickie Milazzo
Institute for Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. |
