Located in upper East Tennessee, LNCTC was founded in 2006 by Debbie Fernando, RN, BS, CLNC. Debbie has 27 years of nursing experience, and 3 years of Medical Legal Consulting - in which is she is certified. She is active in the NACLNC (National Allegiance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants), the AALNC (American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants), and the ABA (Associate). Her nursing expertise is PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, Endoscopy (GI and Pulmonary) and Conscious Sedation.

  • Screening cases for merit
  • Review and analyze medical records
  • Identify adherences to and deviations from the standards of care
  • Explain in terms easily understood the policies and procedures of a particular unit or discipline
  • Locate expert witnesses
  • Develop reports, chronologies, timetables, or narratives to clarify how certain events fit into the case analysis
  • Perform research on new drugs, procedures, or policies
  • Aid with discovery
  • Detect chart tampering
  • Help assess injuries and identify causation (or alleged injuries)
  • Attend IMEs
  • Facilitate preparation of demonstrative evidence
  • Suggest questions for deposition or trial
  • Prepare Interrogatories
Software Debbie uses: Casesoft®, SmartDraw 8®, (allows her to "draw" the anatomical facts of a case), and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional Edition.
 
Debbie will be a team member on any case with a medical chart and will fly across the states to help you win.
