Jerome M. Newler, CPA/CFF is the principal of J. M. Newler CPA & Co., in
Union and Monmouth Counties (NJ). The firm provides financial services to
closely held businesses covering a broad spectrum of industries; these services
include financial reporting, tax reporting and compliance, and planning for
estates, trusts, individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Mr. Newler's 30+
years of experience includes a specialization in litigation services accounting
covering forensics, business valuations and economic damages as found in
disputes emanating from divorce, marital and partnership dissolutions,
minority stockholder actions, and losses due to casualties, fraud and
wrongful discharge. Mr. Newler has testified extensively as an expert in such
matters in his roles as a Court appointed expert as well as a jointly selected
expert and as an advocate; additionally, he has presented seminars on these
topics on behalf of and to the NJ Society of Certified Public Accountants, the
NJ Bar Association, the NJ Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the
American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, NJSBA Family Law Section,
the Administrative Office of the Courts (NJ) for the Judicial College and
Judge's Orientation School, the Hispanic Bar Association (NJ) as well as
other professional and civic organizations. He has served for over 25 years
on the committees whose functions included educating CPA's and members
of the Bench and Bar including acting as chair for the Committee for
Litigation Support and Forensic Accounting and the Matrimonial Accounting
Committee. He has also served over 16 years on the NJSCPA Committee for
Professional Conduct (Ethics) including acting as chair on the subcommittee
for education. His professional memberships include the NJSCPA, The
American Institute of CPA's, the Institute of Business Appraisers, National
Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the National Society of
Public Accountants.
