We are a multi-discipline forensic metallurgy and metallurgical engineering consulting firm specializing in failure analysis (fractures, failures, damage), corrosion and degradation of metals and non-metals. FEI investigators and experts have testified as to cause and origin, product defects, fires, explosions and a mine disaster before U.S. Senate subcommittees, NTSB and MSHA investigation boards, and appeared on CBS' "60 Minutes."

Extensive FEI experience includes the mid-air explosion of TWA Flight 800 and aviation disasters including crash of UAL Flight 585 near Colorado Springs, CO; the nation's worst train derailment ("Sunset Limited") near Mobile, AL; product tampering cases; U.S.S.
