Clayton Surgical Services is pleased to provide expert opinions on cases
involving melanoma and rare skin cancers. Our lead expert has been in
clinical practice since 1991, and has worked as a full-time university faculty
member, a chairman-level employee of a university-affiliated academic
medical center, and in private surgical practice. He has lived, worked in, and
evaluated cases from multiple states. He continues to maintain a busy
melanoma specialty practice, providing both surgical and non-surgical
(including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other systemic treatments) care
to over 300 new melanoma patients a year. |
|
|
|
Our expert is board certified in general surgery and is credentialed by all of
his current hospitals for both surgery and chemotherapy administration. After
general surgery training, he served as a Senior Staff Fellow at the National
Cancer Institute, and then joined the Surgery Department faculty at a top-ten
medical school. |
|
|
|
In addition to clinical practice, he is past Chairman of Surgery at an urban
area community hospital, served on that hospital's surgical peer review
committee for four years (last two as chair), and has held various other
hospital and integrated health system administrative positions. He continues
to give talks on melanoma to professional and community groups regionally,
nationally and internationally on various aspects of melanoma research and
patient care. He is widely published in melanoma clinical research and
actively participates in multi-center clinical trials. |
|
|
|
Our lead expert has analyzed melanoma and rare skin cancer cases for
plaintiffs and defendants; composed Expert Reports that identified relevant
issues central to the patient's care and the proposed or ongoing litigation,
including key literature references as needed. |
